Andrej Tisma's new art concepts of the 80's are also developed through inter-medial expression by way of linguistic and visual intertext, applying collage montage techniques based on appropriation and ready-made elements. Thus, through the story-telling powers of contrasted newspaper photographic images, trivial fragments of the world, he reconstructs, from zero point of awareness, a mass, deceptive representation of reality.

By subversively placing the dominant Western visual symbols into different contexts and new narative entities, Andrej Tisma takes a subjective approach in re-interpreting them and creating new media-constructed meanings of images, in a utopean endeavor to influence viewers on an international scale, to help them shed false awareness and to get a different and comprehensive view and understanding of global events and circumstances.
