The beautiful Vojvodina Parliament building was also hit 
by a NATO Tomahawk. It went over my roof so I heard it's hissing noise. 
 
All windows, doors were broken and walls damaged 
 

 

 
People of Novi Sad couldn't believe that such  
a barbarism can exist at the end of 20th century 
in so called civilized Western world
 

Civilian objects were main NATO targets and the damage was horrible, not only physical, but also psychical. It made people disillusioned about modern and advanced Western civilization too

 

 

 
 
Destruction of Novi Sad Television building just 
showed us what the Western image of democracy  
and freedom of information is . In the same time 
we could watch CNN, BBC, Sky News, Free Europe 
etc. This multicultural institution broadcasted 
program in five different national languages, 
Serbian and those of main national minorities. 
It can be seen from these boards left in front of the
destroyed TV building: inscriptions are in Serbian,
Hungarian, Slovak, Ruthenian and Romanian 
languages. Where else in the world such a care
about national minorities can be found ?
